What games are worth playing twice?

Post by ChinaDarwin44 on Thu Apr 28, 2011 7:41 am

No one's been online for BC2 lately, so I'm getting bored and looking for games to play/replay. I bought Portal 2 and Fable 3 today. Portal is fun, coop local is great. Haven't tried Fable 3 but its an offline game and has Chinese for my wife to play...

That being said, what games are worth playing twice, I've got most every game worth having, but I only play once, rarely more. The exceptions have been:

    Vanquish
    Elder Scrolls games
    KOTORs
    Borderlands
    Mercenaries

All I can think of off hand. I know there are plenty more, such as Mass Effect, but for some reason I get bored and can't make it through them...

Any suggestions and maybe a reason or two why would be nice, kind of bored until Brink comes out in May.

    Half Life 2 + episodes
Just pure genius, IMO the best action game of the last decade. Go on second playthroughs for achievements!

    Any Total War game
So many factions... and all are awesome to play.

    Red Dead Redemption
    Because its so goddamn good.

    Super Meat Boy
to get all those A+ ratings.

The first Assassins Creed was pretty sweet, but waaaaaay to repetitive to play a second time, for me at least.

I never finished Red Dead Redemption the first time...

My recommendation on the other hand is Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2.

If I may add, if you play mass effect 2, get the shadow broker DLC as well, its really good.
I was dissapointed in Arrival DLC however. Still, ME3 will be legendary.

I have a game which is WAY worth playing, and it will cost you a while as well, which no one have mentioned yet.

    Bioshock
    Bioshock 2

Bioshock is probably the best game I ever played

Sadly Deadspace isn't. Get a game like Minecraft, your only limited by your imagination.

I don't know what it is about ME but I can't get into it, too much talking for me. Spectacular game, but I can't get into it.

The fallout series, its fun to play a strictly good character the replay with an evil one. Same goes for the Elder Scrolls.

Hey, since it sounds like a bunch of us have Red Dead, maybe we should form a posse online and hold El Parisio against the Mexican Army or something....

I would recommend Metal Gear Solid 3 or 4, however I'm guessing that you may not own a PS3 so disregard those two. For the Xbox...well...I guess Red Dead Redemption, uhm...idk what else if you have a bunch of PC games I would recommend any Total War game, Starcraft 2, Metro 2033 ( so baller )...yeah thats about it lol...however, this part goes for anybody with Steam, if you have $10 laying around somewhere, make sure to purchase a game called Lugaru HD. It has terrible graphics, terrible storyline, but some of the best, most strategic, and most fun fighting of any game I have ever played...ever.

I loved those games on my PS2 and even PSP...I remember one night, fucked up, during MGS3 Sons of Liberty I think....anyways, some guy telling me to go to bed and stop playing games, and then half naked Japanese AV models start showing up on my screen in a video....I lost it, thought I was having a relapse or something...good times!

I moved this topic to the category "Secondary games" as that is essentially what it is about Smile
