Daaaaaamn! Now I've gotta go get Mass Effect 2. GREAT. I played through ME1 on PC and it was so fucking addictive that it kind of freaked me out. lol. I think that's why I've been a little hesitant to get ME2. But now I have to!

    GONNA BE EPIC!!!!!

Mass Effect 1 is, by far, the best game I have ever played (parallelled by Zelda, of course). It's like the best movie I've ever seen, except you play the movie, and influence it. It's awesome!

ME2 was awesome as well. Better gameplay, though not quite as good as story (though still awesome!).

ME3, if they combine the best from both game: epic story and an awesomesauce gameplay, it's going to be huge!

I really like ME. ME 1 was great like Moliat said because of the storyline. ME2 still because of a storyline and vastly improved action..................... which however brings a downside, I was a little disappointed by ME2 due to far toooooooooo much action for a game which should really focus more on storyline. I really want ME3 but somehow i fear that there will be faaaaar too much action, eg choices that have to do with life and death not simply wether you want to have pink or red carpets. These choices always made the game so fun completely irrelevant choices such as punching a journalist in the face (ME1) lol. Or blow your way past security or take the subtle approach or just come back later. i simply fear the choices we have to make in ME3 are too serious and the game will focus too much on war action and killing. Not so much about recruiting people having a relationship with them upgrading your ship exploring planets upgrading ARMOR buying and selling stuff, because remember now that the reapers apparently reached earth you wont have time to do last named things because every thing you do is focused on saving earth which in that type of game seems to only be achieved by blowing things up. But we will have to wait till its out i just hope there is a great storyline nice action but not too much and lots of crazy choices to make Very Happy

I really hope they combine the quality of the ME1 storyline with the quality of the ME2 gameplay. In general I think the gameplay was improved simply because there wasn't so much unnecessary stuff to worry about (like having 1000 vacant upgrades flooding the inventory), but then again in a sense it became a little too basic (with only 3 weapons per weapon class etc.). I really liked how the gameplay in ME2 felt like an action movie, and I quite frankly liked how the choices in ME in general are quite epic. It's those moments that enthrall me, deep and epic story (like Ilos and talking to Sovereign on Noveria in ME1). I just hope they combine all those elements into ME3, and it will be the greatest game of all times.

I liked the low weapon count for classes (other than soldier) it made each class rely on their unique power set giving them each a very different feel. I really wanted to try another class with each new playthrough of ME2 whereas when I did replays of ME1 I would pick soldier every time.

I really want to get the DLCs for ME2 that I've missed and replay it sometime soon, I never got around to checking out the Infiltrator class.

I've never played any other class than Soldier on my in total, 5 Mass Effect playthroughs (including ME1 and ME2), I've also been heavy paragon each time.

Especially compared to Pinnacle Station (that one pissed me off with the bugged game mode!) and those half-hearted ME1 DLCs. Some of the ME2 ones were really good, especially the Shadow Broker one.

It was fine, but I really didn't like her as a squad member. I mean, "Flashbang" and "Hard poke", not really that useful in a combat situation against robots with shields and people with barriers :p

Just finished the "Arrival" DLC. Took exactly 2 hours, give or take a few minutes. At one point I literally said out loud: "I want Garruuuus!". Being surrounded without any squad mates to help you out was a new experience. Interesting to try something new though.

The DLC didn't have a whole lot of story, apart from a reaper invasion, of course.
