    1v1 against SavageNation

Post by Th3Gu1tarPl4yer on Wed Mar 02, 2011 11:46 am

This is a 1v1 in Ango showcasing new trial period in Death from Above clan Smile against my new bud SavageNation who was playing WM for the first time (omg i lost Embarassed ), here it goes, hope you enjoy it.
Gotta confess I'm going through a demotivated period in coh where i cannot find my ways into learning Cry, and very happy to meat this clan which apparently is meant to encourage learning and having fun in the process Laughing
Looking forward to meet you in game DFA guys!!

2v2 with savage against higher rank WM

Post by Th3Gu1tarPl4yer on Wed Mar 02, 2011 12:22 pm

Trying something new (for us) with SavageNation we went double rax with the intention of going bars/nades/WSC in one side and Motor pool and fast m8 in the other, well, didn't work out, once i got 4 rifles in the field i got no MP for support units due to reinforcements, neither Savage the fuel he needed for fast m8. Heavy 2 x T1 gameplay and 4 mg's sealed the game in a narrow enough map where flanking failed.

This game was unorthodox, to say the least.

    Th3Gu1tarPl4yer 1v1 Apprentice

Post by Th3Gu1tarPl4yer on Sat Mar 05, 2011 6:45 pm

Here starting my apprentice thread with two games.
The first one is against Ayne, i met him sometime ago in Reborn's ventrilo and we had this game, extended T1 from Ayne since he denied all fuel cutting me up. Observations and help appreciated Smile

    Game against Ayne

The second game i'm posting is actually posted in another thread but I wanted to add it to my apprentice thread. It was against SavageNation, lotta fun, i seemed to come back in a moment but it wasn't enough, help appreciated.

    Game against Savage

Idleness....i guess it's my main problem, but i'm all ears

Just finished watching 2 of the three games you have on GR, couldn't watch the game against Ayne sync error. From my perspective you seem to have the same problems as i. Losing track of units under fire causing to many losses. A couple of things that really stuck out to me: Going wsc 1st in our game, i think a m8 early would have owned me, as i was very slow teching up, which seems to also hamper you. We are so very similar in game-play. I am also very guilty of the same mistakes. Just really losing track as the action seems to heat up. In the game against, I think his name started with Com. something, i don't know if his three pio start might have you thinking pio-spam i did. But no flamer upgrades on your engineers sdidn't help. Floating resources, again i am so guilty of this. In my opinion you as i just really need to keep a better track of where the game is going. I hope this helps i am not the best one to give any advice, Keep up the fight dude you will get there.

    DFA 2v2 Gu1tar/Savage (2xArmor) vs Maxxx/Abe (SE/Blitz)

Post by Th3Gu1tarPl4yer on Mon Mar 07, 2011 7:59 pm

Nice game, thanks a lot guys. Savage came with me Central VP sacrificing a bit his own safety in the nearby base but that hold was good to start, we had a hard time but we came back, we went 2xarmor? i think because we were to busy microing to chat lol, more communication would have been nice. Then the P4, Tiger, the Hummels, Shermans, Calliopes, triple vet rifle. This time rax + WSC worked mate Very Happy
sorry to Savage, Abe and Maxx I couldn't play one more, it's nearly 5 am and gotta work tomorrow.

    I begin with the critics.
Savage, remember i told you i was floating mp and didn't know what to do?
That was due to the lack of fuel, so i couldn't tech up or build armor, but....
    I forgot about OMCG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sleep
Oh my god, this is the result of inexperience, I could have called like 3 of them!!!, and in a tight game like this one that could have changed everything Evil or Very Mad
Rangers against vet2 inf was a nice bet you did, i should have done the same probably

Again its is the same problems, losing to many units and to many idle units. It was an ok game but i really think without those 2 problems we would have crushed them. Neutral As for the omcg its a roll of the dice, i think when i called them in, it might have been twice, i don't think the groups as a whole were very good.

    Th3Guit4arPl4yer/SavageNation 2v2 apprentice

Post by Th3Gu1tarPl4yer on Mon Mar 14, 2011 9:01 pm

Lately with my bud Savage we've been playing some 2v2, finding our ways and i thought to make this 2v2 apprentice with him.
This is a Rax/WSC start which we're still discovering, from my side still not getting really how to spread my rifles between the support units. I lost like 3 squads up to MP44...., those have to be nerfed... OMG Razz
It was a 50% win night, i guess this game was the one where we played worst probably.

    DFA against LuckySTILET / Bulgakov

Post by Th3Gu1tarPl4yer on Sun Mar 27, 2011 2:27 pm

Yes, it's not a joke, probably because an automatch error we just faced TOP 1 Wehr 1v1 player LuckySTILET together with Bulgakov, another monster.
Surprisingly we had a strong early game said by LuckySTILET, but of course it didn't last much, like Moliat said, really early game, like until first unit was built Laughing

The trick and headache of booby traps

Post by Th3Gu1tarPl4yer on Mon Mar 28, 2011 8:57 am

I don't seem to find the way to dodge booby traps, when it triggers and i hear the sound it's too late, i have to locate the point since i might be capping more than one point around and thats it, squad gone (or almost gone). Razz
I guess i should send the squad next to the point and take the time and work of being really alert when i'm sending it to cap. That means perhaps no queued cap lines once the ability is deployed.

Yea, after you hear that first booby trap you need to start paying a lot more attention, since if he laid it on one point, more traps certainly on others. As for dodging them, the best way is to run to the opposite side of the point.

Hit space bar the instant you ear the clicking noise, it'll take you to the location. Then as Abahab said move to the opposite side of the point, if you're fast enough you won't lose anybody.

    infantry war in Langres

Post by Th3Gu1tarPl4yer on Thu Apr 07, 2011 10:23 pm

lv 8 vs lv 8: mg, double vet grens, mortar against the standard 4 x rifle + 2 engies, later 2 snipers and rangers, nades, stickies, bars, 2 vet3 rifles, 2 vet2 snipers, 2 Geschutzwagens killed by a single rifle with a stolen schrek.
Fun, finally i could react and adapt, buiding TD instead of the WSC (as i almost did) would have been fatal.
I said GG in the mid-game since I retreated a wrong squad in a key moment, but i stayed (since he didn't answer) and won Laughing
