    Onslaught Mode

    Post by D divine1 on Mon Dec 20, 2010 11:37 am

I'm thinking of purchasing the Onslaught Mode, and getting some Clan Members to participate.

    Who has this Mode?

    Who would be interested?

I have it, and we have already been using it a little bit for helicopter flying practice. It also has potential for tactics practice as it allows a constant flow of enemies if we don't capture all the points.

The real 'Pepsi Challenge' would be to do it on difficulty level - hard; in Hardcore mode...

I've tried, and never seen anyone beat it yet...

1-4 players can take on AI opponents. One thing I like is that it 'feels' like a combination of Rush and Conquest put together (although there are no M-Comms to destroy). Basically you advance from one capture point (Conquest - change the flag) to another and another(Rush - map opens up, new capture point, with opponents now further away on the map)

It uses the multi-player maps supplied with (some) vehicles, etc., and at certain 'trigger' points the AI opponents come in with their own vehicles (or reinforcements) to whoop ass on you. The defenders NEVER run out of reinforcements, and you must capture the point to get them to stop reinforcing themselves.

As long as ONE PERSON CAN STAY ALIVE, then it never ends (till you complete the map). However, the re-spawn time is seriously long, and if you are the last man standing and they are raping you with the Havoc or the Hind, then good luck...

CPU only - kind of like a multi-player mission co-op (although you can take it on alone if you want to, or if everyone else drops out, etc.)

I have finished all maps on hardcore 1 of the maps required 4 squad members but 2 or 3 are enough for the others. Onslaught is great for chopper practice as well
