    Might as well post here----

I often hear "tangos" being called out. i.e- tango coming east side. But I have no idea if the spotter is engaged with target or not.

I would like to see us expand this to include whether or not we have a shot at the enemy.
i.e- Im on tangos on the east side
    0r- Tangos east- no shot.

    just a thought

Normally for me, bear in mind this is me, i will call:

    "two tangos west of alpha"

shortly after you will either hear:

    "Two tangos down"
    or
"Im down, two tangos moving to alpha"

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what I mean when I say "call out tangos".

    It's usually like this for me;

    Enem .. nvm it's down

    or

enem .. crap, XXX enemy(s) heading / located at XXX

I guess the point I am trying to make is that I often hear about tangos---not what to do about them!

Another issue is not being specific enough in the description. Lately I have found myself asking on comms, "Can you elaborate on that?" or "What do you mean by that?" or simply "Where exactly?" when someone simply calls out things like:

"Sniper on the hill." (which hill? direction? ahead of us? behind us?)
"There's a guy throwing C4 all over that building." (which building? color? wood? brick? 2 storeys? one?)
"3 guys flanking us." (from where? left or right? classes of tangos?)

With spotting and so forth (on Vanilla) this is less of an issue, but especially on Hardcore which we've been playing a lot lately this is doubly important.

I believe it has alot to do with in game laziness.

Instead of "sniper on the hill" it should be "sniper on the NE hill, beside fallen log"

I often feel that we need some set geographical terms. i.e- on Harvest day, in my mind i always think of that Hill (west defending flank) as culps hill (gettysburg reference), or on Oasis, in my mind I think of the houses right before the defending mcom as the 'halfway' house. This is something we could work on via the high res maps which are outthere somewhere....

Yeah, on the second set of M-Comms on Arica Harbor (when defending) you have the middle road with the 2 M-Comms on each side, then up the stairs to the left another road running parallel with the 'sniper hill' beside it, and down to the right you have the area with the construction building.

I like to refer to these as 'the upper level', the 'middle level', and the 'lower level'.

I like that idea, o consider myself to be alright at calling tango's out but I do agree that we as a clan need to have set markers on a map that the whole clan can call out like building a-3 (third building in front of the m com) or vice versa

Ria, you're the tactics training admin, would you like to devise and/or start deliberation on such a system?

Or you could just call out enemies the way randoms do...

    Random: " SHIT! "
    DFA Guy: " What? "
    Random: " COMMIE WITH A GUN! "
DFA guy: " What? Where? "
Random: " Over there duh! He's the one with the gun that shoots bullets! You cant miss him. "
    DFA guy: -Facepalm-

DFA > Random; We got an enemy, can't get a hit he hides..
    Random > DFA; Now what?
DFA > Random; Well, go do somethign for your team!
    Random > DFA; How?
DFA > Random; Go run over that big no-cover-what-so-ever-field and go kill hum, duhu!
Random > DFA; Roger *runs runs runs dead*
Random > DFA; Crap, he killed me!
    DFA > Random; **Sigh**

In terms of identifying Tangos, why not just say

    Tango's engaged at Alpha, or
Tango's spotted North East by Bravo

I think the difference between the two terms is simple and obvious

    Do not rush things friend.

There is a 1 week waiting time between posting your application and finding out if you've made it to the next step.

As for chances, who can say, every member has an equal vote regardless of position within the clan and its still too early for most members to have cast their votes.

AS indicated in the welcoming post: we need, at maximum, a week for our entire admissions team to review your application. I will be in touch regarding the results around 6/21.
    thnks!

The way that TG do this is in 3 sections:

    Quantity - Enemy - Location

    For example;
"2 tangos ground floor 2nd window on the right"

This keeps it short, sharp and sweet and gets all the information across to your team that they need to know to do their job.

No, we use our names or abreviated versions of our names. It means we don't have to remember names AND callsigns for people, which means less time deciphering the message and more time killing the enemy.
