    Life In The Clan

Post by riafomh on Mon Nov 22, 2010 6:51 am

    "Dear Mom,

Life is good here. I get to work my own hours and I get to kill people for a living. Food sucks, though. We need a new recruit who can cook. Sure do miss your cookin', mom.

Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. I can't really die here, so you don't have to worry about any folded flags or 21 gun salutes or anything.

My last unit was okay, but this new unit I'm in looks like it's got its shit together much better. Pardon my language, mom - I'm in the Army.

Seem like a good bunch of guys, although I don't really know them all yet. Everyone, I think, has got just the right amount of ego - enough balls to get the job done without acting like a bunch of women, and no one seems to be struttin' around actin' like they're the 'cock-a-the-walk'. Oh yeah, that's an old Naval term, you should remember that one from Grandpa.

Well, gotta go! We're pullin' out now to go secure some shoreline. Man, if Hazey is flyin' again I sure hope I don't puke my guts out like last time...

    Luv ya mum,

    Your son."

I was a chef in the US, with experience cooking for large groups, I'd be happy to feed the clan if I'm accepted!

Good thing you didn't mention the hazing to mom....I know grandpa had some crazy Navy stories about crossing the equator Shocked

Well, ChinaDarwin, once you get all these potatos peeled maybe you can get some time practice-firing on the range.

    TRUE STORY:

I once had to cut 900 pounds, 18 50 pound bags of ONIONS, all by myself, in a single day.

I was working for a traveling Louisiana cooking group/festival in California one summer....

I'll take those potatoes any day....

But I'd rather do both than cross the equator as a first class seamen in the Navy. affraid

    Dear Mom

Today i was fighting with fellow soldiers Kazo and Kurnalkuddles,we fought a variety of enemies over four diiferent Enviorments (Maps) we could not win how ever much we tried.Kurnalkuddles flew like an Eagle whilst myself and Kazo Ripped apart our enemies on the surface below,RPGs flew left and right of us,we were being hit by snipers,Kazo got hit in the Chest and i caught one in the leg.

We controlled the skies but the our Allies below could not get past the First Mcom Mad so we lost, then lost again and again.I hope Mom when i do fly again there will be other DFA Allies on the Ground that we can Depend on to get the job done.

    All my Love

    Dear Mom,

So it's been a good few months since I left to join the army and I have now been through excrutiating training in the camp. The top guy, everyone names him 'Moliat' works you extremely hard, but it's so rewarding I have seen major improvements in my strategys. I have seen many come and go running out screaming 'I dont have my head up my ass' I personally don't understand what they were on about. After my training I was accepted and placed in a company called 'CSM' then invited to lead my own squad called 'BHD' It's great ! My fellow squad mates are amazing, we have had great times and will continue to do in the future. Unfortunatly we lost one member Bob as we call him or 13 he is the joker never fails to pull a smile on my face. We were out on patrol me and him and he was shot in his funny bone. He hasnt been able to crack a joke since so he was sent to hospital back home. There is also another two high up guys, 'Ria' and 'Kenny' I think they both like me. Ria takes me out early in the morning in the huey while the smell of naypalm is still fresh, he also taught me a move called the downtown menouver but I cant say more it's top secret. Kenny is hilarious always doing silly things but is really tactically minded. We finally dont have to eat rubbish food ! We got a cook. Not as good as your home cooking though. I still miss your chicken pies.

I have also been entered into the trial's for Captain, I hope to recieve that in the future it would be a great honor. I feel I fit in here mom. It's a home from home.

I hope to see you soon and wish everyone well.
Rest assured Im not in any ordinary company
    I'm in Bad Company.

    Loads of love
    James

PS.please find attatched the picture of me and my DFA family.
And if worse comes to worse I can always re-spawn.

Hahaha, now that you mention it, saying "AND (I LOVE) HUGE ONES TOO!" coupled with all the colours in the rainbow does indeed give it a rather gay touch tongue
