    Well that kind of sucks for your team... we'll see if we extend the tournament by one week, giving you a single weekend to conduct all matches.

    Consider BestFriend fully active. He takes some time to respond, and if he doesn't, I'll make him squeal. Squeal like a pig (tried finding the reference from this in south park, but couldn't find it).

    There's a ton of people out there, so I'll find someone to team up with Kazo if he's unable to.

    A point for clarification - Moliat would you confirm please?

    If the M-Comm should be destroyed by other means, such as C4, destruction 2.0, or what-have-you, there is no penalty per se for doing so; it merely doesn't count and you get no point for that M-Comm. This is to allay any accidental destructions which might occur quite naturally through the circumstances of regular gameplay. Not really likely, but possible.

    And what if you do it on purpose? Well, it's not to your advantage to anyway - you merely give up one possible M-Comm that could have scored you a point, so why would you.

    However, what about the Defenders? Presumably there are only honorable players here who wish to have a contest of strategy and skill. But, what if they do so by accident? (Such as defensive C4, or Destruction 2.0)

    Should Defenders forfeit a point if they are responsible for the destruction of their own M-Comm, whether accidental or not?

    I think the obvious answer is = yes.

    Ring in anyone if you have something to say.

    If you destroy your own M-COM on purpose it should for forfeit.

    Oh crap. I hate the way my brain works.

    Again, situations such as these should be unlikely, but it is nice to have an idea how to resolve such issues if they arise.

    Suppose after an arduous battle over an M-Comm within a building, the Attackers finally arm the damned thing, even managing to throw some defensive C4 to thwart counter-diffusion. The Defenders are rushing in from re-spawning, the ringing whoop-whoop of the thing about to go, and seeing the Attackers through a window let go with both a 40mm and a hand grenade into the wall they are hiding behind.

    The wall (one of the last standing holding the building up) disintegrates from the blast, while the C4 goes BOOM, and the building collapses. Abruptly the game ends with "Your Team Won/Lost", leaving several things up in the air.

    Could the hand grenade or 40mm grenade be responsible for bringing down the building, and therefore the (illegal) fault of the Defenders?
    Was the C4 responsible for the Destruction 2.0, and is it the Defenders fault for setting it off? Or the Attackers fault for laying it down in the first place?

    Does the building coming down negate the arming of the M-Comm in the first place? Or could this be considered an automatic win for the Attackers, since they had it armed, and it would have gone off without diffusing, which didn't happen? But can the Defenders argue that their opportunity to disarm was (illegally) taken away from them when the building came down? And again, whose fault is that?

    I hate the way my brain works.

    Accidental destruction would be a rematch.

    If the charge is destroyed in any other way than by arming it doesn't count.

    Forfeit of one point. If the Defenders destroy their own M-Comm, whether on purpose or not.

    CrushNZ wrote:Accidental destruction would be a rematch.

    No matter who causes it or why? Are we all agreed?

    So the Attackers cap the first M-Comm, which would give them a point, and the 2nd goes by Destruction 2.0 without intent. So then that match is a throw-away and they have to go again? The Attackers lose their one point then, but get another opportunity to get 2? But what if they get none - they would have been better off before with the 1 point...

    I think at least give the Attackers the option of whether they wish to rematch or not.

    As moliat said, we make a game with 8, and 4 of them leave / idle. (ref's?)

    Abouyt mcom destruction in anyway but arming;

    Attackers destruction 2.0 / explo;
    - Though luck, no point that round for THAT m-com, accident or on purpose, should have taken better care.
    Defenders, be sportive, don't wreck the building enuff so attackers will likely blow it ..

    Defenders destruction / explo;
    - point for attackers, own fault, be carefull
    attackers be sportive, dont wreckt bla bla same as above.

    Think that's the most neutral, we can always talk about what happend after the map

    This is basically what we go with. As for defenders making the building easily collapsable, anyone caught being unsportive will be in deep shit.
