Has anyone watched this TV show on the Discovery Channel? It's about the US Army Rangers' selection process and training. It's very intense!

AS a matter of fact, yes I do Moliat.
RMC are harder trained. Coming in as an NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer)is a 32 week Course.
Which finishes with various tests. A 9 mile speed march to be completed in under 2 hours with full kit and rifle. The grueling 30 miler. As the name suggests a 30 mile march/run with full kit and rifle to be completed in 8 hours. Various Gym tests and stress tests (A stress test is when you do 2 minutes of press ups to achieve a certain number in the RMC 62 press ups. 1 minute rest then 82 sit ups in 2 minutes etc) A bleep test (level 11) Tarzan Assault Course to be completed in under 4 minutes with 25 pounds of kit. 2 mile speed run with various obstacles ( underwater tunnels, deep mud to be crawled through, finishing with rifle test on 5 shots out of which 3 must hit the target etc. Try that when youre fucked up and tired :P

Come in as a CO (Commissioned Officer) 64 week course. More tests less time for them.

Every RMC recruit goes through the PJFT (Pre-joining Fitness Test) and then the three day assessment- PRMC (Pre-Royal Marines Course) which is held at Lympstone.

SAS is the only service in Britain not recruiting from the general public. You must have served atleast 4 years with the parachute regiment, the Royal Marines Commando or the regular Army to apply for SAS Selection ,,,, note: SELECTION not training.
SAS Selection is held near the Breckon Beacons,,,,, Where hopeful recruits are broken....
hope thats enough info for you guys.
