Part of the inspiration to create DFA

Post by Moliat on Wed Jan 19, 2011 2:32 pm

I played with these guys for over 2 years. The guild policy was pretty much "pro play with casual people", and the experience there was what I wanted (and think we all have succeeded in) incorporated into how DFA works.

For those who are familiar with World of Warcraft, I played with Isolated Singularity (the guild) from late vanilla to early Lich King, clearing SSC, TK, MH, BT and SWP up to and including Brutallus (or whatever the big, ugly dude's name was) pre-nerfs, and clearing up to and including Kil'jaeden a couple of days after the nerfs started hitting. You'll find me in the videos quite a lot under the same alias: Moliat.

Bottom line: wishing for the same thing when playing Bad Company 2 was part of what inspired me to create DFA. One of the guys in the guild made a couple of videos during some of our "raids", as the PVE (Player Versus Environment, as opposed to Player Versus Player), combining several clips into the two below videos.

Oh, and to clarify: "ploppa" is when... well... two guys sort of... touch wieners, one pulls his foreskin over the others' and detaches it, theoretically making a "plop!" sound. Grose, I know, but it just became... part of the internal humour.

    "Just Some Ploppa"

    "Just Some Ploppa 2"

Not quite, actually. I played actively for 3 (or 4?) years, but once I started the second year of high school I quit on the spot, and I haven't touched the game since.
