    CoH Retail Beta Change Log

    Well Beta 6 was released yesterday. Reverted all changes made to volksgrenadiers except the lower reinforcement cost. Base building manpower costs reverted to normal etc... however, it is good to see the lower build time and build costs for the MG42 stayed and of course new maps!

    3 New Maps have been added to Company of Heroes:

    Flooded Plains Territory has had its territory redrawn

    American
    T17 Armored Car health increased from 175 to 265
    T17 Armored Car level 1 veterancy health bonus decreased from 175 to 50
    T17 Armored Car weapon reload time increased from 1s to 3.5s
    T17 Armored Car weapon cooldown removed
    Fixed an issue where the t17 Armored Car had lower chances to penetrate from the rear than the front
    Fixed an issue where the t17 Armored Car would fail to penetrate snipers

    British
    Fixed an issue where Bren Carriers could be loaded with infantry while using Self-Repair

    Wehrmacht
    Wehrmacht Quarters manpower cost reverted from 205 to 220
    Krieg Barracks manpower cost reverted from 205 to 220
    Volksgrenadier manpower cost reverted from 265 to 280
    Volksgrenadier build time reverted from 26s to 30s
    Volksgrenadier long range accuracy reverted from 0.38 to 0.35
    Volksgrenadier mid range accuracy reverted from 0.58 to 0.55

    Panzer Elite
    Panzer-Jager Kommand manpower cost reverted from 320 to 220
    Panzer-Jager Kommand fuel cost reverted from 50 to 30
    Panzer-Jager Kommand build time increased from 115s to 135s
    Panzer Elite Armored Car build time increased from 45s to 55s
    Jager Kommand upgrade manpower cost reverted from 150 to 200
    Jager Kommand upgrade fuel cost reverted from 30 to 40
    Jager Kommand upgrade build time decreased from 45s to 35s
    Group Zeal upgrade manpower cost reverted from 200 to 240
    Group Zeal upgrade fuel cost reverted from 30 to 40
    Marder III weapon tracking speed increased from 10 to 20


    Patch 5 Log

    General
    Fixed an issue where AT Guns reload time could be reduced by giving an AT Gun a move order directly after shooting

    American
    Fixed an issue where stickybombs could sometimes miss their target
    Crocodile Range increased from 20 to 25
    Crocodile Health reverted from 700 to 636
    Crocodile Vet 2 penetration bonus exchanged for a 0.8 cooldown modifier
    Wehrmacht HMG teardown time reduced from 2.5s to 2.1s
    Riflemen experience bonus modifiers found on Stickybombs and BAR upgrades have been moved on to the Supply Yard upgrades
    Strafing Run accuracy modifier vs tp_infantry_elite decreased from 1.0 to 0.75
    Tank Depot manpower cost increased reverted from 300 to 350
    Fixed an issue where Strafing Run effectiveness was unintentionally lowered versus vehicles
    Strafing Run has been tuned to vs blobs to suppress slightly more and deal less damage to suppressed units

    British
    British 17 Pounder AT Gun hp increased from 400mp to 450mp
    Bofor build time reduced from 90s to 60s
    Bren Carriers may no longer use their self-repair ability while garrisoned

    Wehrmacht
    Fixed an issue where Nebelwerfers could instantly destroy garrisoned structures
    Fixed an issue where Panzerfaust accuracy was unintentionally increased vs infantry
    Geschutzwagen weapon damage increased from 165 to 185
    Geschutzwagen's reload modifier at vet 3 increased from 0.5 to 0.75
    Halftrack Flammenwerfer damage increased from 17-23 to 30-35
    Halftracks, Motorcycles, and Schwimmwagens no longer gain a received accuracy bonus from veterancy
    Wehrmahct HMG manpower cost reduced from 260 to 250
    Wehrmacht HMG build time reduced from 40s to 35s
    American HMG teardown time reduced from 2.5s to 2.1s
    Krieg Barracks manpower cost reduced from 220 to 205
    Pak38 manpower cost reduced from 310 to 290
    Wehrmacht Schwimmwagen manpower cost reduced from 240 to 225
    Wehrmacht Schwimmwagen build time reduced from 45s to 40s
    Volksgrenadier manpower cost reduced from 280 to 265
    Volksgrenadier reinforcement cost modifier reduced from 0.5 to 0.4
    Volksgrenadier build time reduced from 30s to 26s
    Skirmish Phase now provides a 25% capture speed bonus to Volksgrenadiers
    Volksgrenadier long range accuracy increased from 0.35 to 0.38
    Volksgrenadier mid range accuracy increased from 0.55 to 0.58
    Wehrmacht Quarters manpower cost reduced from 220 to 205

    Fixed an issue where APCR was not applying to the Panther Battle Group

    Jager Kommand upgrade fuel cost reduced from 40 to 30

    Schwimmwagen's Mark Target ability cooldown increased from 25s to 45s

    I'm confused, has this patch supposedly hit vanilla CoH?

    Because I don't see the new maps, and I was sure there were more changes to Wehrmacht, for instance lower MG recruitment cost, greater Halftrack flamethrower damage, lower vehicle accuracy and so on.

    I believe the changes are only in the Beta download on Steam.

    Yeah that's right, its the retail beta only. I downloaded the beta a while ago but gave up trying to keep up-to-date as each release is 9GB and I don't have the extra bandwidth to keep downloading them.

    Anyhow, it looks like most of major problems with 2.601 are fixed so I'm expecting maybe only a few more patches. Notably M10 misfire and possible buffs to Wehr mid game.

    T17 was buffed and nerfed at the same time. Health bonus from vet 1 to vet 0 so its more survivable, but I think its no longer as effective at killing infantry. With the longer reload time, infantry squads (especially PE ones) have more time to fight back rather than getting instagibed. Though I think the HP increase might be a bit too much.

    Yep...the last beta patch is live. I think by 30th March the official patch will be released. Rejoice comrades.

    That's going to be so very, very sweet.

    Two new 6 player maps isn't bad either, the current ones aren't much fun.

    I'm most excited about the balance changes, however. Making Wehr more viable early game, especially against US is a blessing. Finally I have more of a chance of surviving Abe's ridiculously good flanking manouvers in 1v1s.
